Josie Mann is a singer, songwriter and composer with a truly distinct sound. Her work is emotionally poignant, spanning from bold and cinematic to intimate and introspective, with a contemporary flair.

A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, she frequently layers and manipulates her own voice to create striking harmonies and richly textured arrangements. A Composition graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, her sound draws on classical and jazz influences to create expressive, nuanced works with careful sonic detail. Under her side-project Jofi, she also explores R&B/pop, showcasing a sharp instinct for rhythmic, hook-driven songwriting and production.

Josie has been a member of the Sonar Music collective since 2022, composing on a range of screen projects across film, television, documentary and commercial. Her screen credits include the STUDIOCANAL feature Kangaroo (the highest-grossing Australian film of 2025), Stan’s Bump (Seasons 2–5), SBS anthology series Erotic Stories and documentary Inconceivable, and the AACTA-nominated Netflix series The Speedway Murders. Most recently, she covered Nick Cave’s Into My Arms for The Artful Dodger Season 2 on Disney+.

In podcasts, Josie composed the theme for Audiocraft’s Flirties, a finalist for Best Original Series at the 2024 BBC Audio Drama Awards, and in 2026 wrote the theme for Masterpiece, a project by visual artist Jessica Yolanda Kaye featuring lush, layered strings.

As a vocalist and arranger, Josie has featured on numerous soundtracks and artist projects, including Sydney’s 2025 and 2026 New Year’s Eve fireworks broadcasts.
